Guard Your Heart

Just this past week, the devil tried to come for my heart through my business. This isn't the first time he's come for me, while operating in purpose. I'm often attacked in the area of my mindset, identity, and character (how sway?), but none of it is TRUTH, except maybe "being overly spiritual." Lol! I'll take that one, because I value upholding righteousness, and my heart for God is not divided by other things.

With that, as I reflect on principles God gave me, I want to share my heart on the matter.

It is vitally important to protect your mental and emotional self. God has given us some simple yet valuable wisdom in his word about filling our heart with truth and protecting this truth we possess within our heart.

The job of the enemy is to kill, steal, and destroy; but God is a life giver to us all.

The enemy will use people and situations to tear at your God given identity, and have you questioning your very existence; but when you have obtained truth and you BELIEVE it; you must remember to guard it as commanded in Proverbs 4:23 and declare that truth over you!

Proverbs 4:23 reminds us, above all else; guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

In Proverbs 4:24 it further reminds us to keep our mouth free from perversity and to keep corrupt talk from our lips.

It's easy when circumstances arise and people get to talking; to find ourselves coming in agreement with the lies the enemy says about us, and speaking those lies about ourselves from one's own mouth. BUT in protecting your heart; you must retreat to TRUTH and speak life over yourself and make the lies of hell obedient to the authority of Christ Jesus.

In closing, be reminded that it is your job to protect the very thing God has given you; your HEART! May your fire forever be fueled by the purpose and passion God has placed inside of you, no matter the circumstances.
